"With ingredients like silica, hydrolyzed wheat protein (a protein that strengthens the hair and helps build body without weighing it down, contributing to a thicker appearance), and zeolite, the spray is made with a unique blend of ingredients that work together to provide lift, texture, and long-lasting volume without making the hair feel heavy or sticky," Pulse says.

Users say it really does deliver impressive density, even on the finest hair (one user even tested it during a Southern summer). They are, however, divided on the scent—some love it, while others can't stand it.

If your roots look limp and lifeless, you have to try this dry shampoo/texturizing spray hybrid, says Lamorena. The lightweight and invisible formula is both volumizing and texturizing, but also works to absorb any excess oil on the scalp and strands. The result: Lifted roots and a more lush-looking style.

We love that it has some hydrating properties, too, so hair won't become dull and prone to breakage. "It has a matte finish, perfect for creating fullness and definition in fine hair," says Lamorena. "It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave any sticky residue, either."

Like most of Amika's hair products, we like that this spray is budget-friendly, but highly-effective. We also love the scent and the fact that it comes in a travel-sized can that meets TSA requirements for frequent fliers, too.

Texturizing spray has a tendency to dry out strands, and even fine hair needs a little bit of moisture. For those with damaged or brittle hair, we recommend Moroccanoil's iteration. It's infused with argan oil to improve elasticity and smooth hair. Unlike other options, the spray doesn't make it hard to comb through your hair afterwards.

Still, it contains ingredients, like zeolite and hydrolyzed wheat protein, to lend grip and add texture. Users say it's a great all-in-one product, offering both volume and hold. And, as a nice bonus, we love the way it smells, too.

Those who covet that trendy glass hair look can nail it with this texturizing spray. It lends intense shine without weighing fine hair down, so your strands will look sleek and straight but still lifted at the roots. "This spray adds good light texture to your hair, which makes [it] look amazing with a finished shine that's not too much," says Katelyn Ellsworth, a colorist and co-founder of The Roslyn in San Diego. "It's not a heavy formula, so it won't weigh your hair down at all and features a flexible hold."
